Droplet
light

The F!NK Droplet Light is designed by Robert Foster and the prototype was originaly shown at his solo exhibition at Metalab in 2009. The design was extrapolated for a commissioned installation of 22 individual lighting forms for the foyer of the British High Commission in Canberra, and then further refined for the F!NK designed fit-out of the café in the new ActewAGL building in Canberra.

The design is a junction between our unique thermo forming process with a shape that is reminiscent of a droplet of dew running down a blade of grass or the hanging chrysalis of a butterfly. Foster wanted to create a natural form that would inspire yet remain distinct and unseen in the realm of design, breaking the boundaries between reality and creative vision.

These elegant hanging lights are thermo formed in white acrylic. They are 600mm in length and come with a 2 metre cord.
