Robert Foster 10 Year Anniversary FINK Limited Editon Water Jug

To celebrate this significant milestone FINK has designed a limited-edition hand hammered jug that pays homage to Robert’s international reputation as a silversmith and his passion for hammering. Instead of drawing prototypes, he preferred to hammer them to life so that he could feel the dimensions and proportions of the object. He was also an accomplished blacksmith, which enabled him to make his own hammers. Each one of his 35 hammers enabled him to create so many complex and refined forms. Robert was in his happy place when he was hammering, the rhythm and motion was soothingly mediative.

The FINK Hand Hammered jug captures the power of the hammer and the skill of the maker. Hundreds of hammer marks embedded into the surface of the jug creating a dynamic texture. Concentrated and overlapping at the base, the hammer marks become softer and more dispersed, as if floating to the top, illustrating a shift of force.

Using traditional silversmithing techniques and the use of Robert’s hammers, each jug is individually handmade by the small FINK Team and will have a slightly unique finish. Given the lengthy process to make these jugs FINK will only produce a limited run of 25, each numbered. They are anodised in a soft charcoal with a limited edition soft textured handle in shimmery Midnight Pearl. The handles’ hint of chocolate marries perfectly with the charcoal body.
